- Plagiarism-Free: all submissions must be free from plagiarism. We employ strict plagiarism checks, and any content that infringes upon another author's intellectual property will not be accepted
- Relevance to Theme and Audience: content must be pertinent to our platform's core themes and objectives. Additionally, it should resonate with and provide value to our target audience, aligning with their interests and expectations
- Word Count Parameters: articles should be comprehensive but concise. We require a minimum word count of 500 words to ensure depth, with a ceiling of 2,000 words to maintain readers' engagement
- Readability and Structure: the article should be structured in a hierarchical manner, making it easy for readers to follow and understand. Use headings and subheadings to break the content into digestible sections
- Natural Tone and Flow: while the content should be informative, it must also have a natural, conversational tone. It should be free from jargon, unless necessary, and any technical terms used should be explained succinctly
- Photos: as stated in our Terms of Service, related to Trademarks and Intellectual Property Rights, “Do not post photos or images from any other source unless you have an explicit permission by the copyright holder. By posting photos, you declare that you are the owner of the photo or you have legally acquired the exclusive right to it. TheBoatApp/TheBoatDB administrators will not be liable for the uploading of pictures without the permission of their creator”. For more details please refer to the Terms of Service and comply accordingly.

All articles will undergo a review process. If edits or revisions are needed, contributors will be notified.
Marine Data Cloud reserves the right to decline articles that do not meet our standards or guidelines.
Backlinks, Criteria
The linked content must be relevant and valuable to our audience.
Links must not lead to sites promoting illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content. For any backlink leading to such content at the date of publication or at at any future date (e.g. due to any domain ownership changes), Marine Data Cloud has the right to unlink it or unpublish the related post. In such case, no refund shall be made for any paid backlink/post.

Once we have agreed on the article topic, it enters our review process. Here's what you can expect:
- Initial Screening: each article is initially screened for adherence to our guidelines concerning word count, theme relevance, and preliminary quality checks
- Content Evaluation: our team delves into the article's content, ensuring it's well-researched, original, and aligns with our platform's values. The team will evaluate the structure, tone, authenticity, and overall quality of the submission
- Feedback & Revisions: if the article requires modifications or improvements, our team will communicate the necessary feedback. Contributors will be given a specific time-frame to implement these changes
- Final Approval: Once the revisions (if any) are submitted, the article undergoes a final review before it's approved for publication
Timeline: We understand the eagerness to see your content live. However, due to the volume of submissions and our commitment to maintaining high content standards, the review process can take up to 1 week.
Article Hosting Duration, Lifetime
Articles will remain on the site indefinitely. Content may undergo review for relevance and quality over time. If updates are required, contributors will be notified. If the contributor is irresponsive or fails to update the content or any outdated links, Marine Data Cloud has the right to proceeds to unlink outdated/inappropriate links or unpublish the related post. In such case, no refund shall be made for any paid backlink/post.

Lifetime Hosting, Limited-Time
Articles will be hosted for a predetermined duration (e.g. 1 year). Upon expiration, articles may be renewed, archived, or removed. Contributors will be informed prior to article expiration. If the contributor is irresponsive or fails to update the content or any outdated links, Marine Data Cloud has the right to proceeds to unlink outdated/inappropriate links or unpublish the related post. In such case, no refund shall be made for any paid backlink/post.

Payments
Marine Data Cloud is a UK Tax Registered company with VAT ID GB331451241. Payments are collected via:
- Stripe payment-link (provided in the issued UK Tax invoice)
- PayPal UK Business Account:
